Energy equipment manufacturer and service provider Flowline Specialists will use its presence at Offshore Europe 2019 to showcase the adaptability of its modular cable handling and deployment equipment.
Headquartered in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, and with operations in Dubai and The Netherlands, Flowline Specialists supplies equipment and personnel to the global oil and gas industry. The firm’s equipment can safely and efficiently handle, deploy and recover flexible flowlines, risers, jumpers, umbilicals and power cables, onshore and offshore.
Flexibility and efficiency are key features of the firm’s entire fleet of equipment, allowing use onshore and offshore in the oil and gas, subsea, decommissioning and renewable energy sectors. The equipment also boasts a modular design, allowing for efficient transportation, and at short notice, by road or containerised for easy shipping.
Flowline Specialists will be located on stand 2K60f – part of the Scotland pavilion in hall 2 – at Offshore Europe. The event takes place from Tuesday, 03 until Friday 06 September at the brand new P&J Live venue in Aberdeen.
The company will use Europe’s leading exploration and production exhibition and conference to illustrate to the industry the potential uses for its equipment and its ability to modify equipment to suit project needs.
Hub drive and spooler systems, tensioners and under rollers can all be used to deploy and recover subsea cables, pipes, flexibles and umbilicals, meaning they are suitable for use in installation, repair and decommissioning projects. With an in-house design, engineering and fabrication capability, Flowline Specialists can also customise equipment to meet the requirements of specialised projects.
Established 18 years ago, the firm has supported an extensive range of projects around the globe. This has included deploying umbilicals off the coast of Russia’s Sakhalin Island and cables in the Norwegian Sea near Tromso in the Arctic Circle, through to SURF lay projects in the United Arab Emirates, flowline and umbilical decommissioning work in the North Sea and deploying cables for a marine renewables project in Canadian waters.
Ross Whittingham, CEO of Flowline Specialists, said: “Offshore Europe is a highly regarded event for the global energy industry and provides an excellent platform for us to showcase our range of equipment and services. Efficiency remains a key driver for the oil and gas industry and we will be illustrating to those visiting our stand how our range of equipment, coupled with an experienced team, can deliver on that front as a result of a modular design and adaptability.
“We have also invested in expanding our equipment portfolio in recent years, adding both linear and bow cable engines and a 15Te cable drum tensioner to our range. That investment adds greater flexibility and choice for clients.”
